Trolltooth Wars by Steve Jackson to be adapted into a Graphic Novel

The graphic novel is an adaptation of The Trolltooth Wars, scripted by PJ Montgomery, with art by Gavin Mitchell. PJ has taken Steve Jackson's novel as the starting point, and fashioned a script from it. It follows the novel pretty closely, but there are small changes here and there (cuts for pacing, and small additions mostly as little nods for the fans). Gavin is in the process of starting work on the art, which he'll be doing digitally. He will be pencilling, inking, colouring and lettering the book. The script itself is finished, though there will be changes made as art comes in.

There will be a Kickstarter campaign to cover the costs of producing and printing the book. PJ is planning to run this in February, and he will be offering some pretty cool rewards, including the chance to be drawn into the graphic novel as a character, as well as some copies signed by Steve.

PJ has been a Fighting Fantasy fan since he was a child, and has always fancied writing something set in Allansia. Adapting the Trolltooth Wars, and getting to write scenes featuring Zagor, has been a real treat. His previous comic book credits are co-writer on the horror comedy book Stiffs, a short story for the LGBT superhero anthology The Pride Adventures, and script and co-plot on Dynamite, a graphic novel based on a music album of the same name coming from Markosia publishing this year.

Gavin wasn't an FF fan growing up, but is getting into it thanks to this comic, and the Advanced FF campaign they're both playing in there gaming group. His previous credits include Stiffs, Santa Claus Vs the Nazis for Aces Weekly, and his own upcoming creator owned comic, Out To Sea.

We will keep you updated on the progress of this exciting project and hope to bring you exclusive images soon
