Our last two competitions have been more than a little popular so this March we are going to be running a similar competition.

AMATEUR ADVENTURE GAMEBOOK

Kakhabad also known as ‘The Verminpit at Earth End’ is the setting of this month’s exciting adventure. Originally devised by Steve Jackson after a 5-day trek through Nepal from Pokhra (look up Khare and Gorretanti in Google Maps) many years ago, this exciting setting has laid undeveloped until now!

We are looking this month for small adventure 25 paragraphs or more with the Sorcery! spells or new spells inspired by those in the Sorcery! series as a central theme. The adventure must be set within this most dangerous of settings - Kakhabad. Up for grabs are copies of the two books published in February, ‘City of Thieves’ and ‘Creature of Havoc’ + an original numbered and exclusive print of the 'Night Dragon' by Tony Hough.

Now this adventure is going to take more than a few days to work out your plot, so to show you how much we care, we've dedicated the whole month of March for you to sharpen your quills and ready your ink. Closing date will be 1st April 2010.

As you all know 'the Verminpit at Earth End' is an evil place, and the savage and dangerous wilderness of Kakhabad has few pretenses to civilization apart from the great city of Khare – the City port of Traps that sits upon the Jabaji River.

Whether it is the unexplored Lake Lumle or Lake Koomie, the Daddu-Ley and Daddu-Yadu cavern systems found on either side of the mouth of the Jabaji River at the Earth End coastline of Kakhabad, the remote Xamen high and lowlands (now home to ancestors of Chiang-Mai wizards whose teleport experiments went wrong – leaving them isolated on the other side of the world) or the dangerous wasteland known as Baklands inhabited by nomadic tribes of Black Elves and Klattamen you have lots of material to create a unique new adventure.

To aid you on this unique adventure I am delighted to provide a small taster of a new Old World Map produced by myself for the website and future sourcebooks, which you may use as inspiration in your adventure. The small taster displays all of the locations ever presented in a FF Sorcery! Gamebook, D20 Myriador module locations, and reference sourcebook set in the surrounding lands of the Vermit Pit at Earth's End known as Kakhabad.
