With Valentine's Day just around the corner, this month we are going to ask you for something a little different after the success of our XMAS competition...

We'd like to see a small 25-paragraph adventure with 'love' as a central theme. Up for grabs is a 25th-anniversary edition of ‘The Warlock of Firetop Mountain’ signed by Steve Jackson & Ian Livingstone + copies of the two books published in February, ‘City of Thieves’ and ‘Creature of Havoc’ + a Fighting Fantasy bookmark.

Now this adventure is going to take more than a few days to work out your plot, so to show you how much we care, we've dedicated the whole month of February for you to sharpen your quills and ready your ink. Closing date will be 1st March 2010.

We'd like to see an adventure with a bunch of love and a sprinkle of magic, passion, maybe even set against the backdrop of tragedy. Marks will be awarded for originality and your own ideas, however, if you prefer, to get you started, we’ve come up with some ideas that you can weave your magic upon:

· A blacksmith's beloved is murdered and he/she must find a way to save the soul of the deceased when it manifests as a ghost on the Earthly Plane unwilling to leave.

· A famers daughter and a local lord's son fall in love. The evil father of the young lord disapproving of the coupling hires bandits to kidnap the farmer's daughter. Can the young lord uncover his evil father's misdemeanour?

· A young knight learns from a local soothsayer that his father, once thought dead is still alive and seeks him out. Where has he been?

Good luck everyone!
