A Halfling, a Gnome, and an Orc are running away from the city guard in Port Blacksand when they come to a thick wood on the outskirts of the city. They each decide to hide by climbing a tree.

When the Troll Guardsmen arrive, they go to the first tree where the Halfling is hiding and shout, "We know you're up there, come down!"
The Halfling, thinking fast, says, "Tweet, tweet, tweet!"

The Guardsmen, thinking that it's a bird, move on to the next tree where the Gnome is hiding and once again shout, "We know you're up there, come down!"
The Gnome, thinking fast, says, "Whoo, whoo, whoo!"

The Guardsmen, thinking that it's an owl, move on to the next tree where the Orc is hiding and once again shout, "We know you're up there, come down!"
The Orc thinks for a while and then says, "Moo, moo, moo..."

Rumors of a new Archmage rising to power in the Old World continue to circulate across the Western Ocean...

Sargon the Black has been defeated at Kaad by the combined forces of Kadd and surrounding villages. The infamous adventurers' Jerek Stormgard, Axel Wolfric, Baradas Rangor, Gordo Brondwyn, Aspen Darkfire and Grimbold Tornhelm are rumoured to have been responsible for defeating the evil threat.

COMPETITION 7: NOW CLOSED
Tell us about your favourite Adventure
Win all 20 Gamebook's

In our 7th competition yet we asked all our fans to create a small Fighting Fantasy adventure that we would present on the website. The adventure needed to only be a taster of a larger epic quest and had to be your original own work. It could be set in any genre - fantasy, sci-fi, etc and had to include the original FF rules. We had a great response and received many fantastic adventures. Below we are delighted to publish the names of many of the best entries and winners. Congratulations to each and everyone of you. We offered the 8-book box-set, the Sorcery box-set and a calendar for the winner as a main prize with the 5 runners-up will each receive prizes of the calendar. Thank you everyone for the quality of the adventures.

Winner: Tony White - The 20 books are on their way.

The book I have enjoyed the most is Deathtrap Dungeon. I like this book the most as it is the first book I got in the series. I am never sure whether to go East or West, drink the potion, search the body or just continue down the path. The bloodbeast in it's pool of slime always is stomach churning thought will I get past this creature safely only previous story lines will tell. This is also an emotional adventure as your battle with Throm the barbarian is truly upsetting, why couldn't you conqueur the maze together?

I'm sure there could have been a way. This labyrinth is truly a marvellous creation in written word and as you enter the book you feel as if you are really fighting for your life money and freedom. The final part of the adventure is always one of my favourite parts as it is always a new experience as remembering the jewel combination is something I have not put to memory yet and I always find that it is life or death with but one stamina point left will I escape to the light or die like so many others.

The emerald is a great idea as I have many times fallen to my death after removing the incorrect jewel.
